Pyrene Adventure Projects SL presents the Pyrene Explorer Expedition!
A program created in 2023 that combines the philosophy of work camps, non-formal education, and summer camps. We promote the shared responsibility of participants in the success of the program, combining effort, learning, and fun. Our goal is to create situations that foster learning through experience.
1.Who we are and where we are
Pyrene Adventure Projects SL is an organization that loves the Pyrenees and strives to make them accessible to everyone.
We organize activities throughout the year, with our base camp located in the Cerdanya Valley. Club Esquí Pyrene www.clubesquipyrene.com and Pyrene Summer Camp www.pyrenesummercamp.com are both operated by our company.
We are registered in the Register of Organizers of Physical and Sports Activities in the Natural Environment under number C-562.
Our headquarters are in Cerdanya Valley, our address is c/ Únic de Nèfol 5 25721 Bellver de Cerdanya, and our VAT number is B-42820019.
The Pyrene Explorer Expedition is run by an experienced team of education and outdoor professionals, all specialists in their respective fields.
2.Expedition start and end
Expedition begins on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. at Barcelona Airport (T1) or at 1:45 p.m. at Arc de Triomf.
Expedition ends on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. at Sant Sebastià Beach (sports area).
Afterward, we will accompany participants to Barcelona Airport for their return flights.
3.Arrival and departure
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that the participant arrives at the designated place and time, both at the beginning and end of the camp.

4.Equipment
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring their child brings the appropriate gear to safely enjoy the activities. On the first day, all equipment will be checked. If any essential item is missing, the Pyrene Explorer Expedition team will contact the family and help find a solution to ensure the participant’s safety.
Equipment list:
PASSPORT + Travel Consent Form.
Sports shoes with mountain soles and mountain boots.
60–80L backpack + rain cover + thermal blanket + trekking poles.
Inflatable sleeping pad + sleeping bag (comfort rating -5°C) + waterproof bivy sack.
Camping cup, plate, and cutlery (plastic). Two 1L water bottles.
Clothing: T-shirts, shorts, socks, thermal underwear, warm clothes, rain jacket, fleece, long pants, down jacket, waterproof pants.
Cap + sunscreen + lip balm + blister protection kit. Headlamp or flashlight.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, and body soap.
Please remember to COMPLETE the list with all NECESSARY PERSONAL ITEMS.Participants staying for two or more camp sessions are entitled to free laundry service.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE NOT ALLOWED. CONSOLES AND TABLETS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. MOBILE PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THE CAMP; participants may bring them for travel purposes, but once they arrive, phones will be collected and kept safely in the camp office.
5.Equipment rental
Pyrene Explorer Expedition offers a rental service for specific equipment. Rental conditions:
Equipment is provided based on availability and must be requested in advance. It is delivered in good condition, and participants must inspect it before use and report any defects.
Participants are responsible for proper use and care. Pyrene Adventure Projects SL is not liable for misuse. Equipment must be used as instructed and cannot be altered, repaired, or used for other purposes.
Pickup and return of equipment take place at the reception or designated point.
Any equipment changes must be authorized and supervised by a staff member, always in the participant’s best interest.
6.Parent calls
Parents or guardians may call their children on the second Monday of camp, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at +34 659 642 794 (Raül Cavaller).For emergencies or urgent matters, this number is available 24 hours a day.
7.Insurance and medical care
Pyrene Adventure Projects SL provides the mandatory accident and civil liability insurance. You can request a copy by email at [email protected]. When registering, please attach your health insurance card via your user area on pyreneexplorer.com or email it to [email protected]. In accordance with Decree 225/96 of the Government of Catalonia, staff (directors, teachers, and monitors) will not administer medications or perform any medical procedures that involve breaking the skin. No medication will be administered without the parents’ or legal guardians’ written consent and medical prescription, which must be submitted along with the registration documents. If a participant has any injury or disability that prevents them from performing specific activities, parents must inform the monitors in advance.
For participants who are not residents of the European Union:
Medical and travel insurance: In addition to Pyrene Adventure Projects SL’s mandatory accident and liability insurance, participants must have international medical and travel insurance covering healthcare in Spain for common illnesses (e.g., flu or sore throat). This does not need to cover accidents during camp activities (e.g., a sprained ankle). A copy of the policy must be sent to [email protected] before the camp begins.
Visa and legal documentation: Participants must have a valid passport and, if applicable, the appropriate visa to enter Spain. It is the responsibility of the family to ensure all documents are correct and up to date.
8.Meals
Meals will be organized as follows: some days will be prepared by the kitchen of Pyrene Adventure Projects SL, which has its own facilities and professional chef; other days, meals will be provided by mountain refuges where the group stays, or by Pyrene Adventure Projects staff accompanying the expedition. The diet is varied and balanced, distributed across breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner. Special attention is given to the extra energy expenditure caused by the physical activities. All dietary restrictions due to allergies, intolerances, or religious/ideological reasons will be respected. Picnic meals during excursions will comply with all food hygiene and safety regulations.
9. Pocket Money
We recommend bringing no more than 40€. Money is only needed for small purchases (e.g., honey, cheese, camp souvenirs). Pyrene Adventure Projects SL is not responsible for any loss or theft of money brought by participants.
10.Internal transportation
Some activities require transportation using Pyrene Adventure Projects SL vehicles or licensed external taxi services hired for that purpose.
11.Code of conduct
To ensure respect among participants, proper use of facilities and equipment, and the smooth operation of activities, participants must comply with the Pyrene Adventure Projects SL code of conduct.
12.Activity cancellation or modification
Pyrene Adventure Projects SL reserves the right to cancel or modify any of the scheduled activities if weather conditions, participant fitness levels, or behavior pose a risk to their own safety or that of others.
13.Refunds
The total amount paid (minus a 35€ administration fee) will be refunded if the cancellation request is made before June 1 of the current camp season.
The deposit includes a non-refundable 35€ fee for administrative and banking costs.
A proportional refund will only be issued if Pyrene Adventure Projects SL is unable to provide the contracted services. If a participant leaves voluntarily or is expelled due to misconduct, no refund will be issued.
14.Cancellation insurance
Cancellation insurance guarantees reimbursement of the amount paid for the reservation, transport, and rental services up until the start date of the reserved camp.
This insurance can be purchased at the time of booking or, at the latest, by May 31. Cancellations must be notified by email to [email protected] insurance price: €250.00 for the Pyrene Explorer Camp.
15.Data protection
In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, Pyrene Adventure Projects SL will only use participant data for internal communication and promotion of its own services. By completing the registration, you give explicit consent for the use of any participant images taken during the Pyrene Summer Camp for communication or promotional purposes.
